Qatar Announces $2 Million Contribution to Address Threat of 'Safer' Oil Tanker off Yemeni Coast

The State of Qatar announced a $2 million contribution to address the threat posed by the floating oil tanker "Safer" off the Yemeni coast.

This came in the State of Qatar's speech, delivered by HE Qatar's Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands Nasser bin Ibrahim Al Langawi, at the high-level pledging conference for Yemen, co-sponsored by the UN and the government of the Netherlands, to address the threat of "Safer" oil tanker.
HE Al Langawi hailed UN's continued efforts to negotiate with the authorities in Sana'a as well as the Yemeni government regarding the floating oil tanker "Safer" off the Yemeni coast, and the role played by UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator for Yemen David Gressly.
