His Excellency Dr. Mutlaq bin Majed Al Qahtani, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, participated in the opening of the Rotterdam Arab Film Festival, a prominent cultural platform in Europe that celebrates Arab cinematic creativity and promotes intercultural understanding.

In his remarks on the occasion, His Excellency emphasized the importance of cinema as a medium for dialogue and bringing people closer together. He praised the festival’s role in shedding light on regional issues through the lens of film and highlighted the significant contribution of the Doha Film Institute, which supported the production of half of the participating films—reflecting Qatar’s commitment to supporting the arts, cultural production, and fostering international cultural cooperation.

His Excellency’s participation reflects Qatar’s dedication to supporting cultural initiatives that promote values of openness and tolerance and establish culture as a cornerstone for mutual understanding and peace among nations.
