The Ambassador of the State of Qatar inaugurates the first Judicial Capacity-Building Program in collaboration with the Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics of the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI)

His Excellency Dr. Mutlaq bin Majid Al-Qahtani, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, inaugurated the first Capacity-Building Program for Judges of the Supreme Judiciary Council of the State of Qatar, organized in cooperation with the Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics of the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI).
In his opening remarks, His Excellency welcomed the participants and expressed his appreciation to UNICRI’s Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics for its continued partnership with member states and its leading role in promoting responsible innovation in the field of criminal justice.
He emphasized the Supreme Judiciary Council’s investment in its most valuable assets—its judges, legal professionals, and institutions—to ensure that Qatar’s justice system remains both advanced and deeply humane, grounded in the principles of justice, transparency, and respect for human dignity.
His Excellency further noted that this collaboration reflects the State of Qatar’s strategic vision to strengthen the rule of law and judicial independence, while ensuring that innovation serves humanity and justice. He also highlighted that this partnership aligns with Qatar’s commitment to international cooperation and sustainable development, reaffirming the centrality of the rule of law and effective institutions as foundations for peace, stability, and progress.
